IMQ Proving Ground is an independent experimental engineering center dedicated to the testing and validation of intelligent vehicles, complex systems and advanced components for the automotive and aerospace sectors.

The center was established following the acquisition of the Biella-Cerrione Airport by the IMQ Group, transforming the former airport infrastructure into a dedicated proving ground for advanced testing activities under real operational conditions.

IMQ Proving Ground is built upon the specialized competences of CSI S.p.A., an IMQ Group company with long-standing experience in automotive testing and homologation, operating on the site for several years and providing consolidated know-how in vehicle and system testing under real operational conditions.

These competences are integrated with those of the IMQ S.p.A., a leading European body in conformity assessment for the electronic and electrical sector, with advanced expertise in electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio equipment and telecommunications (RED) and compliance with international standards and regulatory frameworks.

IMQ Proving Ground operates as an independent technical platform, supporting product development, engineering validation and regulatory compliance in contexts characterised by high levels of hardware–software integration, connectivity, automation and safety-critical requirements.
