in complex scenarios

The New Frontier: Aerospace and Avionics

We are launching the Advanced Flight Test and Certification Support Centre to support drones (UAS), eVTOLs, and fixed-wing aircraft. Our capabilities range from hovering and transition tests to BVLOS operations and U-Space integration. We provide a specialized team of test pilots and engineers, operating under ISO 17025 accreditation to deliver “ready-to-flight” global solutions.

Technical activities include:

  • functional and performance verification of aerospace platforms, UAS, EVTOLs
  • reliability and operational continuity testing
  • validation of communication and radio links
  • hardware-software integration testing
  • engineering, integration and validation of advanced aerospace energy and E/E systems (battery packs and BMS, thermal management, fuel cell/hydrogen, power distribution and control)
  • technical support to qualification and certification processes.

The site is particularly suited for experimental and validation activities related to advanced UAS missions, such as:

  • transport of light payloads and time-critical materials (e.g medical logistics)
  • automated and semi-automated operations
  • beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) scenarios
  • integration with operational procedures and ground infrastructure.

The integration of CSI S.p.A. automotive expertise with the electronic, regulatory and cybersecurity competences of the IMQ Group companies enables a comprehensive approach to the validation and conformity assessment or next-generation vehicle systems.
